About Us
Cody Regional Health Foundation was originally established as West Park Hospital Foundation in June 17, 1998 as a 501(c) 3 not-for-profit organization. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible. In December of 2017 the West Park Hospital District Board of Trustees voted to update the business name from West Park Hospital to Cody Regional Health to encompass their broad services and campuses. The Foundation followed suit to ensure that they best represented the organization and patients that they serve.
The Cody Regional Health Foundation encourages philanthropic contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations and other organizations in support of activities and programs of Cody Regional Health.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide philanthropic support to Cody Regional Health for programs, services and equipment to assure the highest quality of patient-centered care and enhance the quality of health in our community. The Foundation will encourage contributions of gifts and grants of money, and property, to the Foundation; more specifically to establish and maintain endowments and other funds to support any programs or services of Cody Regional Health.
Responsibility for governance of the Foundation is vested in its Board of Directors. The Directors provide financial support, advice and counsel to the Foundation on a broad range of issues, leadership for the Foundation’s fund-raising activities, and help interpret the needs of Cody Regional Health. In addition, the Board of Directors elect the officers of the Foundation, establish the Foundation’s operating and investment policies, and approve all budgets and major expenditures.
Foundation operations are managed by the Foundation Director, which is responsible for all fund-raising, donor relations, and related matters in addition to the management of all funds and is committed to ensuring ethical stewardship of the Foundation’s resources.
