Rodney Palmer, PA-C

About Rodney

Rodney’s journey in healthcare began in his hometown of Byron, Wyoming, where he graduated from Rocky Mountain High School. He continued his education at Northwest College before transferring to the University of Wyoming, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion. This solidified his commitment to improving patient health and well-being.

Seeking to expand his expertise, Rodney attended the University of North Dakota, where he earned both a Bachelor's degree in General Studies and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy. He began his professional career as an occupational therapist, serving patients at hospitals in Lovell and Powell, Wyoming. His hands-on experience in patient care fueled his passion for helping others, leading him to pursue further education.

In the summer of 2023, Rodney completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of North Dakota with honors. His dedication to patient care and his drive to make a meaningful impact led him to join Cody Regional Health, initially as part of the Orthopedic team. Now, Rodney is excited to transition to our Walk-In Clinic and Emergency Department, where he will continue to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to a diverse range of patients.

Rodney’s goal is to leverage his extensive background in occupational therapy and his advanced training as a physician assistant to help patients receive timely, effective care in urgent and emergent situations. He is committed to supporting patients through their health challenges and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.

Outside of his professional life, Rodney enjoys spending time with his family and is passionate about his work in healthcare. He looks forward to bringing his expertise and dedication to the Walk-In Clinic and Emergency Department at Cody Regional Health.
